The Centre provides accommodation for fellows who do not usually live in Oslo. Accommodation is available throughout the CAS academic year from mid August to the end of June. Flats are not available in July, when the Centre is closed.

CAS provides apartments of various sizes to accommodate visiting fellows. The apartments CAS offers are within walking distance of the Centre and hold a high standard.

You only need to bring your personal belongings when moving into an apartment provided by CAS; they are fully furnished, including:

  • bed linen and towels
  • Wi-Fi and cable TV
  • kitchen equipment

The apartments have washing machines and dryers. Some apartments have lifts.

Smoking is prohibited in all CAS apartments.

If you wish to bring a companion animal or are in need of an apartment with a parking space, contact CAS as this must be pre-approved by the CAS administration team.

Please note that the address of your assigned accommodation will be given to you approximately four weeks before arrival. At this point, you will be sent information about your apartment, along with the general House Rules, which you are required to read carefully, sign, and return to CAS. You will be held financially responsible for costs relating to damage to the apartment resulting from negligent or wilful behaviour. Please make sure you have valid travel insurance to cover any such costs.
