About fellow

Jørn Øyrehagen Sunde (1972) received his doctoral degree in 2007, and became professor in Legal History the same year at the Faculty of Law at the University in Bergen. From 2019 he is professor at the Faculty of Law at the University in Oslo. From 2002 Sunde has been a researcher at the museum the Barony Rosendal, and since 2019 he has also held a position as researcher at the Norwegian National Library. Sunde has since 2014 he has headed the Code of 1274-project on legislation and governance in the Middle Ages, and from 2019 he is in the troika heading the project on the History of Norwegian policing. Sunde has written and edited ten books, he has published over 100 articles, book chapters and essays, holds annually about 60 speeches outside Norwegian universities, appears frequently in Norwegian media, and have won awards for his research dissemination.
