Shuxiao Wang is a full professor at School of Environment, Tsinghua University, Beijing. She has studied air pollution and its control in China since the late 1990s. Her research interests include emissions and control of multiple air pollutants generated from energy use activities. She has generated an interdisciplinary approach to identify the emission sources and address the links between human activities and atmosphere. She has conducted fundamental research on emission characteristics, regional transport, atmospheric chemistry and control policies of air pollutants. Dr. Wang is the author of more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Atmospheric Environment, Environmental Science and Technology, and four books, including “Characterizatio, Sources, and Control Strategy of Regional Haze in the Yangtze River Delta, China”. Her research has been supported by funding organizations such as National Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and Ministry of Environment Protection of China. Her work on the Airborne project involves measuring the indoor and outdoor air quality in urban and rural areas of China.
