Accommodation

We ask participants to arrange their own accommodation.

June is a busy month in Norway, with many people traveling to Oslo for events. Therefore, we reccommend that you book your hotel room as soon as possible.

If you are dependent on financial support from the organisers, your institution, EU, or others, we recommend that you book your accommodation and arrange to pay for your stay upon arrival.

 

Travel to Oslo

The closest airport is Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. 

From the airport you can take the airport express to Oslo Central Station. It will cost approximately 20€. From here, you can easily find busses, trams, metros and taxis to take you to your hotel. 

You can also travel by taxi from the airport, but it will cost approximately 75€.

 

Public transportation in Oslo

All public transportation is run by a company called Ruter (#).

Tickets can be bought at ticket machines located at metro stations, the larger bus and tram interchanges, and in train stations. They can also be bought at kiosks like 7-Eleven, Deli de Luca, and Mix.

Ruter also has an app named RuterBillett, which you can download for iPhone or Android.

A single ticket costs approximately 3,50€, and are valid on all modes of transportation within the city of Oslo.
